Assistant Professor Albaris B. Tahiluddin and Associate Professor Jubail S. Muyong, both esteemed members of the College of Fisheries, have made a significant contribution to the field of aquatic botany. Their latest paper has been published in the highly respected Scopus/SCI-indexed journal, Aquatic Botany, which boasts an impressive impact factor of 1.8.
The focus of their research is the eucheumatoid seaweed, Kappaphycus alvarezii, a species of significant economic and ecological importance. The study investigates the effects of nutrient enrichment, specifically through the application of ammonium phosphate at a concentration of 3.5 g L−1, and different farming methods on the growth and performance of this seaweed.
