Gary J. Kawasan Receives Award at ASEAN Universities Conference
MSU Tawi-Tawi congratulates Mr. Gary J. Kawasan, student from the College of Islamic and Arabic Studies, for receiving the Best Oral Presenter award for his paper entitled “Historical Analysis of the Effect of Economic Growth on Islamic Banking Profitability in the Philippines” during the 12th ASEAN Universities International Conference on Islamic Finance.
The conference, themed “Islamic Finance for Sustainable Peace and Development: Challenges and Opportunities,” was held on November 18-19 at the Limketkai Luxe Hotel, Cagayan De Oro.
Mr. Kawasan’s achievement highlights the exceptional talent of our students, reinforcing the University’s role in academic and research excellence.
