IPDM, GAD Commemorate Bangsamoro History Month and International Women's Day with Peace Forum
In celebration of Bangsamoro History Month and International Women's Day, the Institute of Peace and Development in Mindanao (IPDM) and the Gender and Development (GAD) office of MSU TCTO organized a Peace Forum at Maas Kamlon Hall, attended by college student leaders of the University on March 8, 2025.
Carrying the theme, "HERstory: Bangsamoro Women – Past, Present, Future," the forum highlighted the contributions of Bangsamoro women throughout history, while also highlighting their ongoing role in shaping the future. Guest speakers included Atty. Haidisheena A. Allama, Chief Legal Officer of the BARMM's Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (Tawi-Tawi), and Atty. Jamairah A. Nagamora, Supervising Legislative Staff Officer of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority; who offered insights into the history, challenges, and accomplishments of Bangsamoro women, with a particular emphasis on their leadership and contributions in the region's development.
