In honor of the first Muslim Supreme Court Associate Justice who hailed from Sitangkai, Sulu (now Sibutu, Tawi-Tawi), the MSU College of Law - Tawi-Tawi Extension Campus launched the Justice Abdulwahid Bidin Lecture Series last January 20 at the ISL Function Hall.
Attended by students from the College of Law and the College of Islamic and Arabic Studies, the pioneering lectures were given by Prof. Norsary S. Mamad, Assistant Dean of MSU Law - Iligan, who talked about 𝑶𝒃𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒔: 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒐𝒖𝒍 𝒐𝒇 𝑪𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒍 𝑳𝒂𝒘; and Prof. Norhabib Bin Suod S. Barodi, Dean of MSU Law, who talked about 𝑨𝒏 𝑨𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒚𝒔𝒊𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒆𝒈𝒂𝒍 𝑰𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑴𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒌𝒊 𝒗. 𝑷𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒏 𝑷𝒐𝒍𝒚𝒈𝒚𝒏𝒚 𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒅𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑴𝒖𝒔𝒍𝒊𝒎 𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑳𝒂𝒘𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔.
The Lecture Series will be held every semester to enrich the learning of law students and interested individuals about specific topics of the law.
