On June 7, the MSU College of Law Tawi-Tawi Extension Campus marked a significant milestone by holding the first-ever Digital MSU Law Admission Test (MLAT) at the MSU iLab, MSU-TCTO.
This historic event officially opens the doors for incoming freshmen aspiring to pursue legal education in the province. The first digital MLAT was made possible through the program INZpire, a software designed exclusively for MSU Law, which shall prepare its students for the digital Bar Examinations.
The initial roll-out of the INZpire was made at the MSU Main and Iligan campuses. It was formally introduced by the software engineer and developer Mr. Mohammad Razol Pangcoga during the MSU Law Summit hosted by the late university president Atty. Basari Mapupuno last February.
The MSU Law Tawi-Tawi now holds the distinction in the entire MSU Law units of conducting a digital MLAT for the first time, migrating from the traditional pen and paper examination to a digital one, and marking a significant shift towards digitization and computerization of our legal education offering.
A total of 33 applicants took the exam, which was conducted in two batches to ensure efficiency and proper facilitation. The first batch was held from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, while the second batch took place from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The MSU College of Law Tawi-Tawi Extension expresses its deepest gratitude to MSU-TCTO for the continued support and to the MSU College of Law Main Campus, headed by Dean Atty. Norhabib Bin Suod Barodi and Overall Assistant Dean Atty. Norsary Mamad for their overwhelming support and invaluable assistance in ensuring the success of this initiative.
The results of the Digital MLAT are expected to be released soon. We commend all examinees for their dedication and wish them the best in their pursuit of legal education.
