In an endeavor to bolster the academic alliance with Universiti Malaya, a beacon of knowledge, Prof. Clarissa A. Derramas, Ph.D., who holds the position of Chairperson of Graduate Education at the MSU-TCTO College of Education, illuminated the Educational Forum on Leadership and Early Childhood Management with her presence as an esteemed resource speaker. This enlightening event, organized by the dedicated Faculty of Education at Universiti Malaya, was held on the 2nd of January, 2023, and was facilitated through the Microsoft Teams digital platform.

Drawing upon her extensive knowledge and expertise, Prof. Derramas shared invaluable insights during her discourse on the pivotal theme, "Innovative Leadership in the 21st Century Classroom: Nurturing Excellence." Her thought-provoking presentation underscored the transformative influence of innovative leadership in fostering excellence and instilling values in learners. The MSU-Tawi-Tawi recently had a formal groundbreaking ceremony for several noteworthy projects. The projects include the construction of the Sulu Archipelago Institute for Language and Cultural Heritage (SALI) Building, as well as the establishment of the offices for the Campus Registrar, Admissions, and Scholarships. At the occasion, the plan to install the steel letter name of Miraflor T. Alih Hall, embellished with the CAS Logo, was also revealed.
