The Memorandum of Agreement was signed last April 5 at the Sabdani Bulante Hall Conference Room, marking a significant collaboration between the Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education Technical Education and Skills Development (MBHTE-TESD), represented by Provincial Director Maryam S. Nuruddin, Ed.D, and MSU-TCTO, represented by Chancellor Mary Joyce Z. Guinto-Sali.
This collaborative effort centers around the "Processing of Halal SeaweedNoodles" project initially proposed by former SPFIC Manager Ms. Normina A. Abubakar. The project is slated for implementation this year and will be spearheaded by project leader Asst. Prof. Merilyn Q. Amlani of the Fish Processing Technology Department, with Manager Iannie P. Maribao of the Student Food Processing Innovation Center as co-project leader.
This initiative encompasses both research and extension projects and is externally funded. Participants will undergo comprehensive training on the production of Halal seaweed noodles, and the project's outputs will be subject to further research and development. This venture represents a concerted effort to foster innovation, skill development, and sustainable practices in Halal food production.
